Our Core Values in Action: Stories and Insights from Our Values Ambassadors

Strive Health

At Strive Health, our four core values — Patients First, Make an Impact, One Team and Elevate the Everyday — show up in how we make decisions, navigate hard moments and treat each other when no one’s watchingThey’re the daily guideposts that help us stay grounded as we grow and deliver on our Mission: Redefining care. Elevating life.

Strivers from across departments were selected as Strive Values Ambassadors (SVAs) to bridge leadership vision with real-life practice. SVAs pressure-test what our values actually mean in the work: in patient conversations, in cross-functional handoffs and in the small wins that keep momentum moving.

Learn what motivated them to get involved, which values guide their work most and how those values show up in action.

Erica Brown, Manager of Data Operations | Striver Since 2021

“When you’re happy and fulfilled at work, you’re more willing to go the extra mile.”

Erica started at Strive as a data engineer and grew into management. She built Strive’s data operations function and ensures care teams have the information they need, when they need it. For her, values show up in how teams collaborate when things get messy, deadlines pile up or someone’s having a hard week.

Q: Which value resonates most with your daily work? Why?
A: Elevate the Everyday. In our hybrid work environment, we don’t see each other as often as we’d like. Being intentional to recognize the people who make your workday better — even through a quick email or Slack message — is one simple way to help build a stronger team.

Q: What does “Elevate the Everyday” look like when work is hard?
A: Our engineering team is really supportive. If someone’s having a bad day or they’re sick, people jump in and help get the work done. There are plenty of times someone tries to work through being sick, and we encourage them to take time to heal because we have their back. That kind of support is important.

Q: How do you practice recognition in a way that actually lands?
A: I first ask individuals how they want to receive recognition: public or private, but both matter. I try to connect the work to the outcome, and I keep it specific. That’s what makes it feel real. The more we normalize recognition, the stronger our culture gets.

Bridget CardDirector of Regional Clinical Care | Striver Since 2023

“Patients First has always been my true north.”

Bridget came to Strive after years of healthcare leadership. She joined Strive looking for autonomy, purpose and a culture that cultivates balance. Her priorities have been consistent throughout her career: patients.

Q: Which value resonates most with your daily work? And why?
A: Patients First has always been my true north in healthcare leadership. When things get complex or priorities compete, coming back to what’s right for the patient consistently leads me back to the right decision.

Q: Describe a moment when you saw a value come to life at Strive.
A: Make an Impact shows up everywhere when I look at the past year. We set aggressive targets and teams made it happen. It’s incredible to watch a team commit, stay accountable and deliver.

Q: What advice would you give to someone who wants to live Strive values more fully?
A: Lean on the values for clarity and model them for others because sometimes you live a value in a way that becomes what your coworker needs to get through the day.

Tsuzuki KanaokaSenior Associate of Strategy & Development |
Striver Since 2023

“Elevate the Everyday means we celebrate the small wins to keep people moving forward.”

Tsuzuki works on the payor side of business development and partnerships. She joined the ambassador group to zoom out from her day-to-day and better understand Strive as a whole.

Q: Which value resonates most with your daily work? Why?
A: Elevate the Everyday. In business development, we talk about contracts, go-lives and potential revenue: the big picture. Day-to-day, it’s how you show up that drives results. We celebrate the small wins to keep us moving forward.”

Q: What’s a concrete example of Elevate the Everyday in your world?
A: We closed a deal at the end of the year that took months to close and required collaboration with many different departments. The win wasn’t just signing the deal. It was each milestone along the way: we submitted the proposal, earned the onsite, got in front of key stakeholders and paused to thank those who made each phase possible. Everyone worked hard and the team’s work was deeply appreciated.

Q: What advice would you give to someone trying to live the values day-to-day?
A: Start small, and be intentional. Ask, “How can I incorporate this into how I already work?”

Elle WilsonSenior Manager of Partner Success | Striver Since 2021

“One Team is how we turn performance data into a cohesive story of impact.”

Elle has been at Strive through major phases of growth, from roughly 100 employees to today’s more than 750. In Partner Success, she sits at the center of cross-functional coordination and brings teams together, so partners experience Strive as one unified partner.

Q: What drew you to become a Strive Values Ambassador?
A: I’ve had the chance to see the culture across different teams. Values look different based on your work, so it felt meaningful to help shape something that could be real across the whole company.

Q: Which value resonates most with your daily work? And why?
A: One Team. Healthcare is full of silos. On Partner Success, I coordinate teams across Strive. And for the partner, I’m often their experience of Strive, so One Team isn’t aspirational; it’s required.

Tiffany BentleyBSN, RN | Senior Manager of Transitional Care |
Striver Since 2023

“It’s not about perfection. It’s about consistency, growth and showing up with purpose each day.”

With deep experience in dialysis and care management, Tiffany joined Strive to stay close to the work that matters most: helping patients. She joined as a case manager to learn the organization from the inside and quickly found herself leading teams and helping others grow.

Q: Which value resonates most strongly with your daily work? And why?
A: Patients First. They are at the center of every decision we make at Strive. Whether I’m problem-solving with a teammate or navigating compromises across teams, I anchor decisions in empathy and compassion. I always ask, “What makes the biggest difference for the patient?”

Q: What surprised you most about the values development process?
A: How collaborative it was, and how much ownership the ambassadors had. The core of what we developed came from the group: honest dialogue, reflection and real input from people across the company.

Our values live in both intention and action. Strive’s values are lived in how we recognize each other, make decisions when trade-offs are real, collaborate across departments and stay grounded in our Mission.

Our values live in both intention and action. That’s what makes them powerful. They’re not just what we believe; they’re how we work. When those behaviors show up consistently, people grow, teams thrive and patients feel the difference.

We’re building teams where our Mission drives the work and our values guide how we do it. Join us: StriveHealth.com/Careers.
